What is MDO?
Mother's Day Out at Creekside is a state-licensed child care program for children 18 months through 5 years of age designed to give children a pre-school "preview" while giving moms and dads some time off. Our teachers are loving, Christian women who have a heart for children. The entire staff is CPR-certified and are required to keep up with continuing education hours as well as maintain a Godly presentation of what it means to live life through Faith in Jesus Christ. It is our belief that if the children love where they learn, they will love learning! We offer Mother’s Day Out Monday through Friday, our teachers accept students at 9am and pick up is no later than 2pm. For the fee schedule, please see the link below.
Meet our Administrator, Kyla Sbrusch
Our Mother's Day Out program utilizes the 15 acre campus of Creekside Christian Fellowship to meet the spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, and social needs of your child in a warm and loving environment. Creekside MDO offers play time, snack time, bible stories and singing, nap time and craft time for your child. Using the same curriculum and teaching technique as the Needville Kindergarten program, we teach letters, numbers, sounds and writing in rooms arranged into play and learning centers. It is our hope that through Mother’s Day Out at Creekside the children of Needville and the surrounding areas will find that learning is fun and feel prepared as they walk into school for the first time! The program also offers many extra-curricular activities such as participating in the Fort Bend County Fair parade, Needville Harvest Festival, field trips to community centers and restaurants as well as many more fun-filled activities all over our 15 acre campus!
What will my child learn?
Toddlers (18 months – 2 years)
This program is aimed at providing a warm, loving and safe environment filled with learning activities that enhance the development of your child. The children are given opportunities to explore, experiment, and improve their self-help skills. The teachers encourage language development and the fundamentals of fine-motor skills such as crayon holding and finger painting. Weekly themes tie all of our experiences together. We share songs, stories, finger-plays, group time activities and learning centers. Aside from these classroom experiences, your child will also be involved in daily chapel experiences during which we reflect upon who they are in Christ and how they are wonderfully made in the image of God.

Pre-School (3-5 years)
This program is designed to encourage the preschooler to explore a variety of basic concepts and skills such as counting, shape and color recognition, opposites and positional concepts through developmentally appropriate hands-on activities. We also study phonics, math concepts, letter and number recognition and explore science through various experiences.
Many activities in this program revolve around learning centers which include art, home living, discovery/nature, music, reading, language arts and listening.
This program’s desire is to assist your child in growing in wisdom, stature and in favor with God. Although we feel the need for a strong academic foundation, we also feel that it is our duty to help your child know who they are in Christ. For this reason, the children attend daily chapel sessions. During these sessions, the children explore the Bible and its contents in very appropriate, easy to understand child-friendly ways.
